I'm impressed with the video quality and response time to my phone from when someone triggers the ringer (motion or ringing). Extremely useful for when someone comes by my house and I'm not home. Most people realize right away that they are being recorded. would have been a 5-star except that the wifi connection has to be really good for it to work it's best.

Love this doorbell. Back door is on other side of house and we could never hear if anyone knocked. Now we know and can see who is here. Best purchase ever.

Very easy to install. Just disconnect existing doorbell wires and connect them to the Ring Doorbell terminals. The package comes with everything you need to install, including the tools. Easy to connect to your Wi-Fi. Good quality video and sound It is a good idea to purchase the $30/year recording and cloud storage.. We've already used it to document an abusive solicitor at our front door.

Great purchase. Meets expectations! Just wish my wall was level and builder could have mounted existing doorbell off of the door trim.

I bought this because I have an easily accessible front door from the street and wanted to deter anybody from wandering to my front door, which admittedly has never been much of a problem. After install, I felt more secure immediately. Things I've learned- This is a 1st gen, so I do not know what the "newer" ones do or don't do. This device works just fine.. Mostly. A few times I have caught people walking away but it is usually neighbor kids and that was early on. The one downside, maybe this is done by newer models ldk. But I wish I could record continously and go back as needed.. I turn the sensitivity up and it tells me when the wind blows, I turn it down and I catch the back of people near my door. I got the setting as best i could and have added more cameras since so i dont solely rely on this device, but as a simple, quick solution it's easily worth the price I paid for peace of mind.. Do your research, and make sure it works for you.. otherwise, any security is better than none... God Bless.

This is my second Ring Doorbell as I have one here in Florida and also my home in WNY. They are easy to install and program and a great product to monitor your home or homes from anywhere as long as your internet and phone are working. Highly recommend for all homeowners, especially seniors. It gives me peace of mind.

I have had cameras for awhile now that allowed me to keep an eye on the majority of activity across my driveway, front and side yards though lost sight of any activity taking place on my front porch. The Ring Doorbell is not only extremely easy to install but it easily fills in the previously un-viewable area of activity which is important in this day of increased online buying and front porch theft.

It's easy to install. Easy to setup and you can adjust the settings to accomodate your needs. Such as choosing when it send you audio alerts etc. You can mark videos for others to see and add them to a neighborhood network for others who have a RING to see in the event you had a suspicious person at your door or a break in. There is a $3 a month charge for storing video recordings.

Bought this on the assumption that It would work with our internet since I could not find any specifications for the product on the box or provided literature and BB sales person did not warn me. It is unusable for answering the door and very sketchy on recording with the motion sensor. i finally found the specifications on Ring's website in the FAQ area under Technical Questions. The Ring requires an internet with at least 1 MB upload speed. I tested my internet and only have 0.43 MB upload capability. Currently working to switch to Comcast from Consolidated Communications. So far first Comcast rep could not perform the installation due to a shorter than needed fish tape and needed a truck with a bucket lift. It has been almost a week and haven't heard from Comcast to reschedule internet installation. May be returning the Ring Doorbell!! With the proper internet it may be a great product. I selected that I would not recommend to a friend because of the lack of specifications to help the consumer to determine if the Ring could work with their internet setup.
