The doorbell is approximately 30feet from my router and I get a good signal. I didn't see a reason to get version 2. This worked well for me. invest in the wedge accessory if it the doorbell is located at the top of stairs or if your siding causes it to angle upwards.

Most affordable smart doorbell.

It connects to your home wifi and has rechargeable batter which approx last for 6 months of moderate use before it needs a charge. the motion setting is configurable and the Ring App is easy to use. You would need to have a good wifi signal for good experience if your door bell is far away from your wifi router.

We like the community share because it keeps us informed and what to look for, Also gives us peace of mind so I can see when the boxes are delivered, It does have a yearly cost and if you have more that two its a yearly cost for each.
