The camera function helps a lot since we have no window facing out the front. Now everyone can see whos at the door and if we should open or not. Downside is you need a subscrition for cloud storage so live view is all you get after 30 day trial.

Their entryway is fieldstone so it took him a fair amount of tweaking to get the unit to sit flat so that it could be hooked up. Connecting to the home network wasn't difficult but the distance from the wireless router does impact video quality.

Battery life listed as 6-12 months with regular use. Used along with wireless chime that works perfectly also. One minor issue, you cannot use the camera unless there is motion or the button is pushed. Very happy with this purchase.

Mostly Useless

The video quality, I knew it was only 720p going in, but still its so pixelated. Basically useless 2. The delay, on the rare occasion someone actually pushes the button, they are gone before the video connects. 3. The battery lasts about a month, with virtually no use. 4. Unless you pay the subscription its essentially useless. Yes you can answer when someone presses the button, but as discussed above you usually only see someone walking away if at all.
