Our 1st Ring (Hubby wants more now!) Easy to set up & works great. We hardwired it to old doorbell wires. Still getting the hang of motion range bc we live on a busy street & get notifications every time a car drives by -but that's more of a user issue than a product issue so we'll figure it out. Love that everyone in the house can have & use the app. Because there's so many newer models (this is the basic one) I didn't know what to expect but it's great! Very happy with purchase.

The Ring doorbell was easy to install, setup and use! The only issue so far is because of wicked below zero temps it doesn’t always work as expected. I don’t fault Ring for that, I don’t work well in below zero temps either.. I love it so far!!

I have a ton of smart home products but hadn’t gotten a ring doorbell until the black Friday sale when I was able to snag it for $100. Best purchase ever! Video quality is great and give me more price of mind to see what’s happening at my door!

Purchased this Ring doorbell close to a month ago and so far I'm very happy with the camera. I recommend subscribing to the cloud service because having recordings of possible events could be valuable to you, the police, and to your community.

Easy to setup and install. Easy to use. App is intuitive. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't adjust the brightness. It's fine either way though. Well worth the $99 I wouldn't pay 199 tho....

This is my second ring doorbell camera. As a single mom, I do a lot of home improvements by myself and this installation was super easy. The application is easy to use and you can adjust the sensitivity to the motions per your preference. I do have other security features installed at my home but if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on a security system or monitoring, this device is a great start. Ps. It’s fun to hear all of my coworker’s chimes sound from their ring. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

This is a great camera and video is great. The inly downside is my house faces east so late morning, early afternoon sun does affect the video... Somewhat expected.... The camera handels it pretty well... I can highly recommend it!

It's rare to purchase a product that does everything it that is advertised but ring does everything as promised and more. I have an ADT Pulse system with cameras and Ring's pictture quality is so much better. It is easy to install and you can adjust the motion sensitivity. I love the motion and doorbell notifications, especially the ability to listen when the motion sensor is triggered and talk to people at my door from anywhere that I have a cellular connection. Ring is an incredible value and offers peace of mind. Highly recommended! Cloud recording feature is only $30 per year.

The Ring Doorbell is a terrific product. Very easy to install, and comes with all the tools you need. It took me about 15 minuets to install it and to get it to connect to my wi-fi. It does not need to be hard-wired to an existing doorbell, although you can if you want to. It shows great video, and you can even talk to the person at your door from wherever you might be either on your tablet or your phone. You can also buy a chime for inside your house that also connects through the wi-fi--no wires. I am in no way a tech person, but Ring makes it easy even for someone like me.

Bought this 12/19/15, and loved it at first. However, my house did not come with pre-existing wires for a doorbell, so I had to rely on the battery. It does NOT last anywhere close to a year, more like 2-3 months at most. Cold weather will drain it even faster. I was hoping for real time video monitoring, but it appears that feature has been implemented in an upgraded model (which was unavailable at the time I purchased this one). The biggest issue, and take note of this, is that the screws on the bottom rusted within the last 2 months (since I last removed the unit and charged the battery). It was so rusted over, when I tried to remove them, even the tool stripped! My doorbell :( Contacted support, and waiting to hear back...

Obviously the picture is not that clear as shown on the commercial, however, it's good enough to see and figure out the person outside. The rest of promises is as good or better than the advertising !

The Ring Video Doorbell is an amazing security feature for your home. My wife and I was just considering installing a peephole, but after doing more research, I came across the video ring doorbell and decided to try it out! I'm glad I did!

You do no realize how useful this product is until you have one yourself. The biggest use case for me is that I work from home and I dont have to step away from my desk when someone is at the door. Also a great piece of mind when I travel.

Had a little trouble connecting to wifi initially. Battery was dead when received (non-hardwired application) had to charge for about five hours before i could use it. They include a drill bit to use if your going to install on brick; drill bit is rather cheap. Went to local hardware store and bought a good one to install. After this it seems to be working fine just a little delay on the notifications but since im still in the 30 day cloud trial I can see the recording. Great night vision, and good sound quality.

Wanted the Ring Doorbell Video device for some time and I was delighted to see it at Best Buy for a great price! It shipped quick and was super easy to install. Ring had everything I needed in the box and video instructions were fantastic.

Easy to install. The reviews are true on this product. It provides a remote way to monitor motion by your door and ability to answer doorbell rings. You can get a picture and voice capability. It runs off battery or the bell ringer power.

Very easy to install. The app goes through each step and making it understandable. Once installed and working, can capture video clips on movement and/or people approaching the door. Can set motion zones and sensitivity. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my parents home back during the Holiday season of 2017. My father is out of town a lot, leaving my mother home alone. With the passing of our canine friend, my father did not feel comfortable knowing my mother was home alone without someone to keep her safe. Seeing that this was on sale during the holidays, I picked it up. I was skeptical that my parents would like this -- it could go either way. Thankfully, my parents were super excited about this doorbell. Not only does it have the added security, but my parents get alerts on their cell phone/iPad rather than listen for the doorbell whether they are home or away from the house. I only have two cons I can think of. Con one - You get a 30 day trial of utilizing the camera footage. After 30 days, you must purchase a membership with Ring to access any camera footage (whether it's motion detection or the doorbell). It is not too pricey, but was an expense I wasn't aware of. On the bright side, purchasing this membership gives you a warranty from Ring that if your doorbell ever breaks or is stolen, they will replace the unit for you. Con two - My parents' house faces out to a street that has some traffic of neighbors going past, and the motion detector picks up on these cars passing. Yes, this means that they receive an alert every time a car drives pass. They still keep on the motion detection to the lowest distance setting, but they don't check the motion alerts quite as often. I will say, it is a fun toy (I can watch my parents taking the dogs out) that can give you some relief when it comes to added home security.

This Video Doorbell is the best on the market for sure. After I installed it I liked it so much I went and bought the second one.
