Works as advertised. The two way audio is helpful for when you are not home and the vIdeo is great quality. The only thing causing it to not get the fifth star is the motion sensor. It is too sensitive and alerts from cars driving in front of the house, even on the lowest setting.

Great unit - as described- not only put doorbell at back door - but adds safety and security when we are out

This is a nice, easy to install video doorbell. I'd recommend hardwiring it to avoid having to charge the battery. Be warned that after your trial, you will have to pay to access stored videos. You'll still be able to tune in live for free.

Looking forward to expanding the security devices. Easy to operate on several devices no matter where I am.

Decided to be cheap and snag the original model of the Ring doorbell. Let me say that I have NO complaints, it's just a bit outdated. How so? You have to take off the entire unit to charge, whereas the newer models allow you to simply replace batteries. This means that you will have moments with the doorbell not being attached while you're charging the unit. Also, the newer models are 1080p quality, while this is 720p. Lastly, newer models have night-vision capabilities. Are these additions game-changers? Perhaps. Is this original model a bad buy? Absolutely not, but if you're going to invest in other Ring items, I would highly recommend at least buying the Ring Doorbell 2 so you can enjoy a wider range of features and utilize the convenience of removable battery packs across all devices.

Makes for an extremely fun toy, and is very useful. Clear camera, and has excellent motion range. love it!

This item contains an excellent camera and is great at letting me know when something approaches my porch.

This has help out a lot with knowing weather or not deliveries are being made or who is at the front door.

For the price & it being a 1st gen model, you cant beat it. It works great & looks good.

The product was great. it allows for me to see who is at my door prior to opening or just simply stating that I am busy.

Only had it two weeks and already caught a guy looking through my front window at night.

Ring has proven to adequately and accurately detect motion and works well as a doorbell. Battery management is not confidence inspiring. Battery goes from almost full to the "charge now" empty setting suddenly and without any progression. In other words, my battery doesn't drain from 100 to 75 to 50 to 25 etc. It goes from ~100 to nothing. If that weren't enough, when I go to plug it in, it becomes fully charged again within 20 minutes or so. Something not quite right there. Also, Ring unit does not sit perfectly flush on the plastic (yes plastic) attachment plate. So when I undo one of the two connection screws, the unit typically detaches. I'm sure this isn't the intended design.

I really like this item. However, there is an excessive delay getting to my cell phone.
