I really like this doorbell. The camera works well, very clear. The battery however drains quickly do to the fact that the motion sensor activates with every car that drives by. I have it on the lowest sensitivity but it doesn't matter

It was very quick and easy to instill. And that is all I have to say about that.

I like the video doorbell because i can see who comes to my door anytime of day.

I love the Ring doorbell. I get to see when the trash is picked up and when its not also when packages arrive. I don't have to open the door to answer the doorbell. I can also check parking in front of my house before I get home. Love it!!

Picture quality is pretty good. Can be bit too sensitive on windy days. Love the door chime options. Only down side is you have to pay for recording service.

You must purchase a Ring doorbell. Tje security along is worth the price, and the camera on the Ring 2 is amazing be able to be present from anywhere to answer the door, know when the kids go and come home , to when that package arrives

This is an inexpensive peace of mind product. We love it and it is easy to use.

The ring doorbell is a good product. Once you get the app you are able to see who comes to the door. One of the down side is that you have to pay to record it cannot be link to hard drive, they should give you that option. Nonetheless, I believe that is a good product because it gives you gives you notification as soon as someone comes to the door.

The Ring Smart Doorbell is somewhat of a disappointment. Now, after changing the settings some, it does seem to be working better, with more timely alerts, but for awhile the app would send me a notification as many as fifteen minutes later! What good does that do? We bought it to have real-time alerts, so we could interact with people at the door and be aware when someone was either dropping off a package or trying to take one, so it was incredibly disappointing when it didn't serve that purpose. Now, my phone makes the gentle chime sound that indicates movement near the Ring when I'm fumbling with my keys, which is what we were hoping for. Maybe our settings vary greatly from the average user. I know our internet (at 6Mbps) is much slower than the average smart-home-owner. We thought maybe that was why it was so unresponsive. Fortunately, that no longer seems to be the case, but we will be keeping an eye on it and, if possible, update our review to reflect that.

More than enough benefit for the price of it. Whereas version 2 has some added benefits regarding backup battery and 1080 video, the original ring is a great product and just what I needed. I connected it to my existing doorbell wires - hardwired - and although I have yet to test how last the battery last, Based on my expected use, I don’t anticipate needing to recharge it very often.

Easy to install and setup.its is great being able to see who is at my door 24/7

I needed another a new door bell switch so decided to go big. Fairly easy to set up. I may get some lag time if I am not at home and it alerts me on my phone. After 30 day free trial period you have to pay to record over the cloud.

I love it. I should have purchased long ago. The camera is awesome on the Ring!

We installed this on the "back" door on the bottom floor of a multi-floor condo - it faces the driveway, so this would be the entrance that deliveries and guests would be arriving at. Installation was easy (we chose the "battery" option, as there wasn't an existing doorbell there)(this can also be installed using the power of many existing doorbells). Set-up and joining the existing WiFi network was also easy - no proprietary "hub" (like Z-Wave or ZigBee) was required. Doorbell ring and audio/video were transmitted without delay to the smartphones or tablets linked to it and had good quality. The Ring also senses motion (adjustable for coverage and range) and will transmit an alert, along with recording a video (subscription to their "cloud" storage service required). Due to the restrictions of the condo association, the Ring could not be installed into the building's siding (facing out as normal doorbell would) and had to be installed into the door frame. While this did not impact operation, it was observed that at night, the infrared beam reflected off the surface of the door, making for a "glare" in that part of the video. The same company also makes a non-doorbell Stick-Up Cam that will also monitor areas (like our front door deck) with the same motion-sensing/audio-video monitoring capabilities found in the Ring that we'll be considering for watching our front door and deck.

The installation instructions and supplied materials were great. The camera uses somewhat of a fish eye lens but given my entrance, that's a good thing. I had two problems after install, firmware not updating and my phone not giving the proper notification of someone at the door. I called the support number, and the problems were fixed right away.
