We love this doorbell , we charge it cause if you were to use batteries I know it would cost a lot to keep replacing batteries but I still love it I can talk to people without opening my door even when I’m not home .

Even though this is a 1st gen product, it's worked well for the past year. The resolution is only 720p but it's good enough. The battery life has been much better than expected. I don't get where all the complaints are coming from. Yes, it will drain the battery faster if you have it detecting every single thing that moves but that isn't necessary. The software updates have improved this device in so many ways. I wouldn't necessarily buy this now that all the newer versions are available but if you can still find one that's super cheap, I would say go for it.

Its a must have, super easy install, reccomend to use existing wiring, reason i gave it 3 stars is because camera quality could be better in 2017 amd motion sensor does not work too well, other than that its easy to use and see whose at the door.

Easy to set up and great device to monitor your front door

I don't hesitate to recommend this product to those that want to see who comes on their porch and/or rings their doorbell. Video is excellent and audio is an added plus. Very easy to install and hook into your wifi and smart phone.

Bought this to supplement my external security cameras. Quality is excellent and being able to receive notifications via web is a great feature. Best Buy had this doorbell reduced by $50 which made the purchase even better.

This is a great device and adds to our sense of security easy to install .. the only down fall is that I lost my door bell ring inside house .. but will be purchasing chime to make it complete

Lasted for a long time. Still using, but time to upgrade to the 3 or the pro for 1080p. Was easy to install after I bought the angle kit separately.

Although the system does require you to have the cameras connected to Wi-Fi it is great because the cameras all run on rechargeable batteries and do not have to be wired in, even with frequent motion my battery is do not need recharged for approximately a month, ring has a great product with a great service and equally amazing customer service, I get notifications on my cell phone when anybody walks close enough to the camera within my motion setting ranges high quality camera can be pitch black at night and see very well, record all detected motion rings and live view $30 annual per camera for the first two cameras $100 annual for unlimited devices... I highly recommend this product!

This is, by far, one of the my favorite things we've purchased for our home. Everything you need to install is included... my husband installed it very quickly and easily, though he is pretty technically savvy. The view on this is wonderful - I was worried that we would only be able to see directly in front of our door, but with the fish-eye lens we are able to see the entire walkway and front porch area. So far the motion detecting has been great, with the only thing setting it off accidentally was a very large wasp. The speakers are also great - I was able to clearly hear my husband from my phone when he was a good 15 yards away from the unit, and he was able to hear me clearly when I talked to him. So far, this purchase has been wonderful!!

This is a great smart home product that is easy to setup and configure, and easy to use. The Ring app is simple and user-friendly, but the platform overall is lacking some obvious features. The largest being the fact that you can only see the doorbell's camera when motion is detected or somebody actually rings the doorbell. I really like that it can keep the internal battery charged by siphoning power from the doorbell wires, but be warned, it is not compatible with all doorbells. I had to replace my electronic doorbell with a mechanical doorbell to stop it from clicking.
