However Know your wifi range. I had to purchase 2 additional wifi extenders in order to view. There is also a subscription fee to record.

The Ring Protect Plan provides valuable capabilities, such as accessing paid features and the ability to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring device. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the optional Ring Protect Plan. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.
There are three Ring Protect Plans available for home devices, and one Ring Protect Plan for Car Cam.
Ring Protect Basic
Video recording for one Ring doorbell or home camera. Activate digital features, including Rich Notifications, Smart Alerts and in-app arming and disarming for your Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro device.*

Add LTE connectivity to your Ring Car Cam, a dashboard security camera, to unlock more features and stay connected wherever you go.

Good video doorbell

If only people motion setting, unless someone stares into the camera, you get no notification.

Picture can be a little fuzzy/grainy at times, but it provides the added security that I need. Definitely recommend as long as you can deal with the picture at times.
