It sounds like your device is not detecting all of the motion you are wanting. The motion sensors in your Ring Video Doorbell are designed to detect motion up to 155 degrees horizontally and from five to 25 feet outward from the fixture. They're also more sensitive to horizontal movement across the detection area than vertical movement.
The proper placement of your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) will have a large impact on the motion your device detects. Proper placement depends on a number of factors, including the layout of your yard, the distance from the front door to the street, objects within the Ring Doorbell's field of view, the height of the door, and more. Good for price and decent video quality

Mainly because I wanted a wider Horizontal and vertical view that the pro model offers. In addition a few of the other differing features. If the features this one comes with is good for you, this is a good unit for the price

Direct sunlight may produce a glare on the lens at various parts of the day. If this is a concern for your device, using a wedge or corner kit can help. It does what its suppose to but there us a delay between the motion sensor triggering thebdevice to record and the device recording. Basically, you miss the first 2-3 seconds which is all it takes to swipe a package from your porch.

If the signal is on the weaker side, you might notice delays with motion detection and motion alerts.
