Up close video is a little blurry and I feel that could be improved.

It sounds like you are enjoying the features of your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), but it sounds like you have some concerns with the video quality of the device. The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) offers 1080p video. Poor video quality is often due to slow internet speeds. We recommend running a wifi speed test using the following steps:
Turn off your mobile phone’s cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device.
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select your device.
Tap Device Health.
Under Tools tap Test Your Wifi.
Tap Start to run a test that will measure your upload and download speed.
Both upload and download speeds should be at least 1 Mbps or greater, but 2 Mbps or above is ideal.
Check the numbers on your wifi speed test. If either your upload or download speed is below 1 Mbps, then you might consider replacing your router (especially if it's older than five years). Contact your internet service provider to learn more about getting newer equipment and faster speeds.

I should’ve returned this item upon 1st sign of trouble, but since this was a replacement item I assumed it was my set up that was mid configured. Turns out I just got an expensive dud. My other units I have had for 2 years and work well. Often times too well, had to remove motion alerts due to it chiming at shadows and leaves blowing in the wind.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Ring's Dirty Little Secret

Ring's "Dirty Little Secret" is that even if you hardwire this device to an existing doorbell's 24 VAC circuit it will likely discharge its battery and turn off in cold weather. This poor design does not power the device via the wired connection. It only charges the battery and the battery will not accept a charge when cold. In northern areas your battery will discharge and the unit will shut down until you remove it from the wall, disconnect the 24VAC wires, bring it inside to warm up, charge it for 9+ hours via USB, rewire your 24VAC supply wires, likely have to reconnect it to the WiFi and remount it to the wall! Patently Ridiculous! If you live in a northern climate, buy the "NEW" Wired only device for $40 less.
