Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is our first doorbell camera and it has been great, we have 2-way communication capabilities, multiple different ring types and the picture/audio quality is usually very good. Now i do have to say that the overall record quality is ok but not the best for this model, when watching recorded video the buffer lags out the first second so it can look fuzzy or jumpy but then it clears up. We have yet to figure out how to make it start recording early as it usually starts when whatever set it off is already halfway through the zones we've set up. While the recordings look good overall i have noticed that if you pause the recording to zoom in on say a license plate or face the quality of the image is significantly of lesser qualty al.ost to where you cannot make out the plate number or face. Also not happy that you have to biy the camera and pay for a subscription service to record and save videos.

Your Ring doorbell works best when using high speed internet. Poor connection to your router, as well as your mobile device's signal strength, can effect the overall video quality and cause buffering. We recommend downloading the video clip for processing prior to zooming in for best resolution. The downloaded quality will be better than the live view.

Rating it 4 stars due to battery life, I had to charge it every 2-3 months and it would take a long period of time to charge when I rather have it on my apartment door. When I had it connected to the wire through a hole wall, it wouldn’t die because it had its source of electricity. It’s up your preference I just wanted the inside home to look aesthetically pleasing.

Video quality is good. Hooked it up to old doorbell wiring, so no hassles with needing to charge the battery.

It will record late ,you will see the person walking away if in live mode but recording is good. I do like it because it lets me know when my package has arrive and mostly being able to see who's at the door.Before buying one of these go to YouTube to watch the reviews. The only reason I Didn't give 5 stars because Ring requires a monthly fee

It helps alot when it comes to seeing anything around your home very responsive and you can communicate seemlessly through the app. After the free trial the subscription is a must but definitely worth it!

I have it set up on a no drill mount outside of my apartment. It feels much safer being able to see what’s happening outside of my building whenever motion is detected outside of my door.
