I'm in a wheelchair and I can't answer the door. This answers for me.

Love the different setting features because you can save your battery life by setting up for person motion only. Good to have. Wide view and zoom in feature.

By the time I get a notification of motion or person detected, the subject is long gone. If I have to use this to prevent my home being burglarized, the culprits would be long gone. This is really good for people who can wait long enough for me to open or respond to the doorbell.

Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. We are happy to share some troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and fix common video issues that you may experience with Ring doorbells and cameras. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable.
Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI. Turn off your mobile device's cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device. Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap “Devices.” Select your device. Trigger an event on your Ring device. This could mean pressing the button on a doorbell or activating the motion sensors on a camera. Answer the event and examine the resulting video.
We have listed some possible outcomes from this test here:
1. The footage is crisp and clear.
If your video appears good when next to the router, the issue may be caused by a disruption in between your router and your Ring device’s normal location. To fix this, try moving your device closer to the router or extending your wifi signal with a wifi extender like the Ring Chime Pro.
2. The footage is heavily pixelated.
If you’re seeing heavy pixilation, even next to the router, this may be due to slow wifi speeds.

Awesome doorbell

I love being able to see you is at the front door without leaving my office. It is also great knowing when packages have been delivered when you not home.

I was pleased with the other one and I am happy to use this too. The cameras are truly so helpful and makes you feel safe.

Getting it up and running wasn't a problem at all... BUT, after charging the battery fully before installation, it only lasted a little more than a week before needing to be recharged. All the settings were pretty much set to minimum, so not sure why. Upon the second recharge, things seem ok.

I live in an apartment and the hallway is near by. Tried changing the settings but I still get many notifications. You can snooze the notifications but that kind of defeats the purpose of informing you if someone is standing right outside your door.

Tried it indoors and it works great! I received a notification on phone alerting me of criminal activity in community. Awesome purchase and looks easy enough to install.

You can choose your perimeters , you can look in on it live from wherever your at its an amazing device. I definitely give it 5 stars worth every penny!!!

Getting the doorbell set up and installed was nice and easy. The video on this 2nd gen model, as expected, is greatly improved beyond the video of the 1st gen model. It works easily with Alexa but for some reason, it is not supported by SmartThings though the 1st gen and several other ring doorbells are.

My husband sees all the packages come to the door now lol I truly live this little gem. It alerts you when there just motion at your door. Caught someone on my patio that had not rang the bell. Absolutely amazing!
