Turn on alerts and know if anyone comes to door while gone. Nice sense of security and can keep an online account that will record and store if want.

However, I don't need yet another item requiring a subscription. For as much as these cost, it should have the capability for local storage. When attempting to sign up for their $40 plan, they want you to contact them in person. Not worth the trouble in my opinion.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We do not have any Doorbells or Cameras with SD cards in them. We do have local storage available when using a Ring Alarm Pro and Ring Edge. To capture all movements, you have to set the motion high which drains the battery. I hate having to buy a solor panel just to fix that issue. Also my ring cam that faces the sunrise side of my home fades, peels and cracks. Not esthetically pleasing when its on the front door. The lens will also fog up when its super humid or raining. Ive tried several things to remedy that but nothing has worked to date.

And with the Holidays, I have proof of a package is delivered. And being in a larger home, i know when someone arrives, because I don't always hear a knock.
