Loses Charge Too Quickly

I installed it using the recommended solar frame so I wouldn’t have to bring it in multiple times a year to charge it. It was fully charged when I installed it and it is now only at 27%. I was under the impression it would only need to be charged 2-3 times per year, but the solar panel frame should make it so it keeps a charge at all times - it gets quite a bit of sun each day. So frustrating!

It's also important to make sure the Solar Charger is receiving several hours of direct sunlight per day in order to provide a trickle charge to your Doorbell. Did not receive this item . It wasr returnedthe

After several attempts to reach out I only got the offer to pay for the item again at a higher price than the original price I paid for it and wait up 15 days for a credit to my card. After the item was received back in the warehouse. Offer made by a customer service agent in Korea that would not let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. No one here in the US at the store level at concord mills or the warehouse where the item was shipped to and from would even speak to me about the issue to even try to offer a acceptable resolution.

Do not recommend

Doesnt notify any one infront of your house but notifies if a car drives by, batter gets charged takes almost 2 days to charge and 4 days later it says battery needs charge. When it records some movement the recording is grayed out so cant see a thing.

It sounds like your device is not performing as expected. To clear up these issues you mentioned, your device may need to be reset. Follow these steps to reboot your device in the Ring app:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the device you want to reboot.
Make sure it's connected to wifi.
Tap the Device Health tile.
Scroll down to Reboot This Device and confirm your selection.
Give your Ring device a few minutes to start up.
Visit our support center if additional troubleshooting is needed.

Battery wouldn't charge after intial setup

Tried a variety of cords and a variety of charging sources (each time leaving it plugged in at least overnight) for over a week and still no charge. Contacted Ring who after having me try a couple of things to plug it in overnight (even though I told him it had pretty muched stayed plugged in for more than a week) and he would contact me the next day. Never heard from them again.

Based on your review, it seems like you are having trouble charging your Ring Quick Release Rechargeable Battery. Your Ring Quick Release Rechargeable Battery is charged using a common micro-USB cable (an orange one is included in your Ring box). The micro-USB cable can be plugged into any USB power source, such as a computer. Your battery will take around five to 10 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet. Being able to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) is a valuable feature of the Ring Protect Plan. It sounds like you are having trouble signing up for the Ring Protect Plan. A Ring Protect subscription may be purchased on a monthly or yearly basis. You can subscribe to Ring Protect from your account on Ring.com. Follow the instructions below to subscribe on Ring.com:
From a web browser, log in to your Ring account.
Select Subscribe, then choose a plan and the devices you want coverage for.

It is a valuable device that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection.
After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell 2020 is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait for your internet to be restored.

Keeps dropping WiFi connection.

It started just after the warranty expired. I spent 1 hour, and fifteen minutes on the phone with the Ring tech who kept saying it must be the internet providers problem, google fiber, however the other ring devises work just fine. I am exploring Google Nest as a replacement.

If the Doorbell is disconnecting from your wifi network, or lagging when you load the Live View, this is typically related to the wifi signal strength. Beware of the 15 day Rule!!!

Unfortunately it didn’t need to be charged until after the 15th day grace period. I went into the store on the 20th day and was told there was nothing they could do. I was very disappointed after all I only wanted to trade it out for another one that worked properly. The manager refused so now I have a Ring doorbell that I only got to enjoy for 17 days. I hope this helps the next person.
