Picture quality is pretty good as well as the distance it records. Keep in mind for the doorbell camera you will need to purchase a chime so you can actually hear when someone rings the doorbell

My family feels safer and it works great. We not only enjoy being able to view who arrives at our home but also like the ability to speak with the visitor through the ring doorbell.

Its motion detection alarm prompts me to pick up deliveries immediately upon receipt, thereby eliminating package thief. And the video recording would archive what happened if I am not at home. No regret except that I should have it installed much sooner.

Easy to install and I believe it has better camera quality. Paired it with a Ring Chime inside and customized the ring tone to our liking. Love it!

I'm impressed by the battery most of all because our kiddos are always having other turbos come over and the battery stays strong like bull.

We have included the steps here to set up your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) in the Ring app:
1. Open the Ring app.
2. Tap the menu (☰).
3. Tap Set Up a Device.
4. Tap Video Doorbells.
5. Tap the blue I’m Ready to Scan button. Use your mobile device’s camera to scan the QR code on the device’s packaging. When a green square and a pop-up with your device image appear, the code has been recognized.
6. Enter the location where your Ring Wired Doorbell Plus is being set up. If this is your first time setting up a Ring device, the Ring app will ask you to use your phone’s location services to pinpoint your location.
7. Give your doorbell a device name. You can proceed with the device’s default name or give it a custom name. Connect your doorbell to Ring.
8. For iOS: Tap Join when the Ring app asks to join the Ring wifi network.
For Android: If your device does not automatically connect to the Ring wifi network, exit the Ring app. Go to your mobile device’s Settings. Tap wifi. Select either Ring- or Ring Setup. Once connected, close your settings app and return to the Ring app.
9. Tap Continue in the app when the blue light stops flashing.
10. Connect to your preferred wifi network.
11. Once your device automatically finalizes the setup process, it will be ready to use.
