Thank you for taking the time to share your Ring experience with us. We appreciate the value and trust you have placed in Ring for your home security needs. It is great knowing that the setup and installation of the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) was easy and straight-forward.
The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) is compatible with b/g/n wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz frequencies. High-speed internet is recommended. If your Ring device is far from your wifi router, it may be experiencing connection issues. Connection issues can cause poor performance including delays and issues with video quality. To learn more about your device's signal strength, follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap “Devices.”
Select the ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the “Device Health” tile.
Scroll to “Signal Strength” under the “Network” section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.
Move your wifi router off the floor.
Walls, floors, and furniture can interfere with or weaken your router's wireless signal. Choose an elevated, central, open location for your wifi router to ensure optimal performance.

I am able to see who comes by and when packages get delivered. I can see and speak to who ever is at my door regardless if they ring the bell or not. The community and real time reports of what’s going on in the area I live in is pretty cool as well.
