This is every bit as good but with one distinct flaw. (Hardwired) Living in the North, temps can drop below zero during winter. This model requires a battery even if you hardwire it. I installed the doorbell 4 days ago, we have had a couple cold nights, and I am getting a low battery warning. Apparently hardwiring this model with existing doorbell wires only provides a constant slow charge to the battery (which powers the doorbell). Under cold temperatures or maximum motion detection, the battery can drain faster than it can be charged.. So, if you live where temps can get below zero, get the doorbell pro (no battery). If you are anywhere else, this is a great doorbell at a fraction of the cost of the pro.

Good camera quality and audio, only bad thing was the packaging was super beat up when it got to me because of the poor way it was packaged. Thankfully nothing was broken!

Love the ring doorbell!

This connected to my existing chime and power so I didn’t have to buy the additional chime nor worry about having to recharge the battery. I love being able to view deliveries and the motion detections. I definitely recommend this!

I use it to keep an eye on my dog in the back yard and to monitor the back of my home. It alert me when someone is approaching my dog, fence or near my backyard. I feel safe in my home. I have recommended this item to family and friends. One friend use it in the windshield of their truck.

I don't like that you have to pay a monthly fee to view the video history. It does have a nice strong magnet to hold it on the door if you don't want to hard wire it. Battery seems to last a long time.
