This one was on sale and I recently had some packages gone missing from my apartment so I decided to invest in one. One thing I don’t like is that you can’t change the motion zones as you can with as you can with the newer Ring to move inward or outward. But overall it’s not bad for the money it’s helped me verify whether deliveries were actually made or not which is very helpful with what’s going on with the postal office at this time.

If your home doorbell chime doesn't "ding dong" when you press the Ring button, then go in the app and make sure the mechanical chime setting is set to ON. They should have made this a default setting.

So when you go back and view the recording, the person has already obviously been in frame and you just don't get to see the first few seconds.

Your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) may be experiencing a delay due to a wifi connection issue. Poor connectivity can effect the overall performance of the device. To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. In edition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
If your networking equipment hasn’t been power cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Wireless networks utilize different channels for communication. In the United States, the 2.4 GHz band uses channels 1-11 and the 5 GHz band uses channels 36-165.
We also suggest increasing the motion sensitivity for your Ring doorbell by following these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Adjust the "Motion Sensitivity" by moving the slider to the right.

The only problem I have is you cannot control the volume of these speaker that is facing outside the camera when you interacting with person at the door and it's LOUD Hoping this gets address in future updates.

With Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), stay connected to your home from anywhere by seeing who’s at your door and answering it right from the Ring app. Enjoy enhanced features like upgraded video quality from 720p HD to 1080p HD, Near Zone motion detection in areas as close as 5 to 15-feet in front of your home and a reimagined mounting setup that simplifies installation. To adjust the volume on the speaker, please follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡).
Tap Devices and select the doorbell or camera you'd like to adjust the volume on.
Tap the Device Settings tile.
Scroll down and tap the General Settings tab.
Tap Volume Settings and adjust the slider tab for Device Speaker according to your needs.
