I hate the fact it does not have a replaceable battery. I bought this as a 2nd camera and planned on purchasing a 2nd battery to change every so often (keeping on charged and ready to go). However you have to disassembe the device and bring it in to charge because you can't remove the battery like first gen. For that you get a 3

And the dog loves that the little chime gives him something extra to bark about.

This gives me so much peace of mind when I’m not home. I live on a corner so there’s a lot that goes on. Now I can always go back and see what happens through out the day and who comes to my door when I’m not home. The only down fall is the battery dies quickly.

Constant charge up and WiFi won’t last long with signal. It kicks the signal off many times not sure if it is a product issue or signal but it causes a lot of errors. Besides that the video is not best quality but ok for what it’s worth, I’d get the newer version so less trouble with video quality and connection problems.

We recognize your desire to have your home security up and running. As a consumer, you expect a product to perform optimally. Please know that we are here to take a deep look into this and ensure that it gets resolved quickly.
The more events captured by your Ring Doorbell, the more your battery is used to power the live HD Video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner. In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the Live View to look or speak through your camera. To prevent excessive activity, you can adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity, disable certain zones, adjust the motion frequency to best fit your needs, or adjust the direction of your Ring device.

The set up was easy. I especially like that I could hardwire it to the existing doorbell wiring which made it easy to install. Now I can hear the doorbell even if I am not near my phone. It was on sale so it was of great value.
