It has made my life easier and safer! I didn’t get the wired doorbell. I’m recharging & easily replacing the battery. I made the recent sale purchase, because I want to have a backup in hand. The one that I just had to return said rechargeable battery, but this one wouldn’t be a quick, simple, pop out battery. Too hard to get to!

It sounds like the device is not functioning as expected. We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the benefits of having a Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) installed at your home. With Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), stay connected to your home from anywhere by seeing who’s at your door and answering it right from the Ring app. The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) contains a rechargable battery.
To charge your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.), please follow these steps:
Remove the security screws at the base of the doorbell and lift the doorbell up and away from the mounting bracket.
Plug your micro-USB cable into the port on the back of the device.
When the battery is fully charged, the blue LED light will be fully lit. Unplug the micro-USB cord and reattach the device to the mounting bracket using the security screws.
