Overall good product. You may have to purchase the chime to go with it, I found that out when getting it installed.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the sensitivity on high and motion detection area to cover the entire front yard but it occasionally wont start recording until they are at my door. The biggest reason for not giving the device 5 stars is reset issues. When the router it was connected to died I had to scan the QR code on the back to reconnect to it by Bluetooth but I had the doorbell mounted and could not find the security screwdriver! After some time of not being connected it seemed to go into a mode where I could pair to it with my phone.

Delays in motion detection and recording could be related to the signal that your Doorbell is receiving. It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to person detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
Notification delays are often related to wifi connection or mobile device variables. A delay of under six seconds is expected due to signal fluctuation. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
