I bought this because it had a good rating, and so I decided to give it a try. Big mistake!! I was able to get the door bell up and running. But after that, forget it!! It kept saying that the bell was too far away from the router, which isn’t true. Because at one point, I actually had the bell right next to the router, and it still said the same thing. So how can that be? I called technical support twice about this issue. Their “solution” was for me to buy a chime that would extend my WiFi. Why would I do that, when the thing wouldn’t work sitting right next to the router? Another thing, the battery drains quickly. Streaming issues are constant. One problem after another. I’ve had nothing but problems with this bell. Best Buy only gives customers 14 days to return, not the standard 30 days, which is proper business practice. Now I’m at a loss and can’t return or at least exchange. You may wonder why I didn’t return earlier. It’s because the bell would act up, and I would call technical support. And they brought it back online again. It would work for a few day, almost two weeks to be exact. Then the problem would start all over again. That’s how I ended up missing the return/exchange deadline. This really isn’t fair. I would not recommend this bell. And if you want to enjoy standard business practice, whereby you can receive some recourse, then you really need to shop somewhere else. I hate to say this about Best Buy, because I have patronized their business in the past. But moving forward, I think I may have to shop where the standard business returns are practiced, honored, and upheld. A satisfied customer is a business’s greatest asset. A dissatisfied customer is business’s worst liability. So sorry that I can’t give this product a positive review, or Best Buy itself at this point. If you don’t believe me, Google this bell and see what other dissatisfied customers are saying. I wish that I had done this, instead of believing the reviews on Best Buy’s website.

Please bear in mind that heavy-duty materials such as brick, metal, cement and large appliances can affect a wifi signal. For optimal performance, Ring recommends a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps at the outdoor mounting location of the Ring Doorbell. I wanted something easy to handle when recharging the battery. I learned Ring 3 was easier and had the same features as this one. If you don't mind taking it off and charging it, then this would be good.

Posted .Hi Charger. I can see how the internal battery of the Ring Video Doorbell is not as easy to charge as the Quick Release Battery in the Ring Video Doorbell 3. A great option for the Ring Video Doorbell would be to hardwire it, or use the Plug-In Adapter 2nd Generation.
