If you recently updated the Ring app and your push notifications are no longer working, we recommend uninstalling the Ring app, then reinstalling it. Some Android devices may have a limit on how many notifications appear per app, and clearing any previous notifications could help.

It sounds like you were unable to find the installation screws in your packaging. The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) should come with all of the following in the box: Video Doorbell (2nd Generation, 2020 Release), micro USB charging cable, mounting bracket, installation tools and hardware, user manual, and a security sticker. The installation screws should be located in the interior pocket of the packaging. If you are unable to locate the screws, please contact our support team.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Also, it seems that you are having trouble with answering your doorbell from your Ring App. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring app with most of the features stripped out except for the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

It sounds like there is some confusion regarding the setup and installation of your device. The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) can be installed with or without an existing doorbell system.

You will want to fully charge the built-in battery prior to setting it up by plugging it into a USB power source using the provided orange cable. When only one of the two LEDs on the battery is lit, the battery is fully charged. Once it is fully charged, you should set it up in the Ring app before mounting it to your home. Once you've set it up, it can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer with 8–24 VAC, 40 VA max, and 50–60 Hz for continuous charging.

We agree that getting the most life from your Ring battery is essential, so that it can provide you with around-the-clock coverage. Having a seamless recharge experience is essential.

We would recommend purchasing a second battery pack to keep fully charged in a drawer. While batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home's environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. The more events captured by your Ring Doorbell, the more your battery is used to power the live HD video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the live view to look or speak through your camera. As most of our Ring Doorbells are powered by lithium-ion batteries, it's important to note that at temperatures below 40 °F, the battery is less effective at holding a charge and may require more frequent recharges. Based on your review, it seems like your Ring Video Doorbell 2020 came with a low battery. We would like to note that all Ring devices do not ship at full charge, and we recommend fully charging the device before using it. Your Video Doorbell (2020 release) battery is charged using a common micro-USB cable (an orange one is included in your Ring box). The micro-USB cable can be plugged into any USB power source such as a computer. Your battery will take around five to 10 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet. Being able to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring device is a valuable feature of the Ring Protect Plan. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the optional Ring Protect Plans. The Ring Protect Plan is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for your Ring device. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account.

Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.

Based on your review, it seems that you are not fully satisfied with your Ring Video Doorbell. If your device is not working as intended we recommend resetting your device. To reset your Ring Video Doorbell press and hold the setup button for 10-15 seconds and release. Once the white light on the front of the device stops spinning proceed with the setup process.
