    Great product! Bought 2 of them for Christmas at sale price. Got 1 for our daughter & 1 for us. Easy setup, works great!

    Beware no removable battery

    I returned the product. You can recharge the battery. The whole device has to come off to charge, which leaves your house unprotected. No good in my opinion.

    Doesn’t record actions good enough! I had some kids run up to my front door and knock everything in the front hallway down. However the camera did not capture them coming to the door only leaving the door

      Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with answering your doorbell from your Ring App. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring app with most of the features stripped out except for the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible.     Couldn’t get the ring to work.

    Could not get the ring to work. I called the manufacturer. They told me there was a firm ware problem and couldn’t be updated. They sent me another one within a week. No issues after that. Was probably not a Best Buy issue but was still frustrating. That’s why I gave two stars.

      Based on your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell may have some problems with videos skipping. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
      Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
      If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
      Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
      Wait for your internet to be restored.

    - Getting constant false alerts (around thirty per hour!!!) for motion despite rebooting, lowering and tweaking motion detection settings. It looks like video compression artefacts are interpreted as motion. Drains the battery and your sanity. - Half of the videos are unusable and the whole screen is green or gray. - App is extremely slow and clunky I deeply regret buying this. Seems many other people are having the same issues online.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concerns you mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like your device is giving false motion alerts, and the video quality is not as expected. The motion frequency control allows you to reduce alerts from repetitive patterns of motion or increase alerts so you get notified about the motion events that matter to you. You can adjust this setting under your device's advanced motion settings.

      If both live view and recordings have poor video quality, there could be an issue with the wifi signal, data loss, or an issue with your router’s settings. The first thing to check is upload speed. To determine whether or not the poor video quality is caused by low upload speed, run a speed test from your PC or mobile device while connected to the same wifi access point to determine if your network can support Ring devices.

      Next, you will want to check the signal strength. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range.
