We bought this one to put on a different part of our house so it wouldn’t be noticeable. I have all the settings at the “ recommended setting” as well as the motion detection about halfway- and it still drains the battery. It worked really good for a month and then started going downhill. I didn’t want to invest in the solar charger as this was just supposed to be a backup and not our main camera. Also, ring app doesn’t recognize when you plug it in to charge it. Will continually say it is on battery power instead of hardwired. I have had to “ reset” this device more times than I should have. Will most likely be investing in hardwired security camera for our house and not mess with anything that is battery powered.

Super easy to install and understand. I really love that I can go somewhere else knowing that I can monitor my home from everywhere! I definitely recommend it!

The Ring is the easiest way to add extra protection for you and your family and know who's nearby at all times.

Since I don’t have a wired doorbell this is a great option because I can pull it down every 4 or 5 months to charge it and not have to worry about wiring it up.
