Great camera and picture quality

Easy to connect and install if you’re not having to use the wedges that I had to buy separately because my door bell is mounted on the side of my door on not straight on.

Hooked up the unit to the existing door bell wiring to trickle charge the battery and the battery has been fully charged for the last 8 weeks..... no need to remove unit to charge in the house. The original house " door bell chime" also works when the button pushed on the outside unit. The 1080p image is very good. I have a Ring Doorbell Gen 1 ( 720p ) . The Gen 2 has a much better HD image than Gen 1. My only complaint is the occasional latency when trying to view "motion detected" that is recorded and latency when trying to view "live".

You need a good wifi to make it work as it should. I would say that the best part of Ring is community that share information between each other and stay vigilant. It was pretty easy to replace my old doorbell with hardwired Ring one

The old one worked well for almost 8 years. Got the new one during the Black Friday sale. It works great. However I was surprised 8 years ago that nothing on the box sated there is a monthly fee if you want the video recording to work.
