After a whole year of trying to see if it was worth it or not we took a shot when our doorbell kept running out of battery so we replaced it with this one and so far is pretty good I’m able to view live when ever I want, hopefully it stays like that after my 30 day protection trial thing is over but as of now I like how it’s rechargeable unlike our old one and the picture is clear. Our wifi is very dumb most of the time and it has managed to stay connected and keep the signal. So that’s a plus

I know this unit is not thee most technically advanced doorbell. However, This unit is one of the best night vision cameras for a basic unit. Yes you have to take the unit down and charge it but I dont mind. I don't have hardware lines but can mount a solar panel to assist. I purchased the original unit when it first came out and am very pleased with the improvement to lense and battery power. I had unit for three weeks and battery is at 70%. That amazing. Crystal clear vidoes and no signal drop so I get good motion alerts. That's why I got the same unit after 5 years.

works great. video quality is great. only thing i dont like, you are unable to playback video outside of a notification. like if you wanted to playback for the previous hour, you are unable to unless you received a notification. but still great product and battery lasts a while also

Great image clarity. Easy installation and setup. Battery lasts about a month before needing to recharge. Preferably the hard wired installation eliminates the need to recharge.

great gift for my dad! he loves it and it was very easy to install and use. the live video feature is very nice and picture quality is very good.

Overall it is a quality product for the price. It would be better if you are able to hardwire the camera to an existing doorbell power supply, then you don't have to worry about recharging the battery. It is simple to install. And is simple to recharge.

Great item for seeing who is at door prior to opening.

Overall a good device, however the Ring software needs some improvements. Sometimes it misses motion captures, or can't load them and other times the picture is blurry or there is no sound for the first several seconds. Maybe it is an Android only issue. You will likely need to adjust the motion settings, otherwise it turns on with the slightest movement...even headlights from a car driving by at night will make it turn on. Mine is running on battery, which is good so far. I've only had to charge it once in about 2 months. A direct hookup to a doorbell is a better option, but this device is too large to fit where my current doorbell is located. So take measurements to make sure it will fit where you want it to. Overall good and affordable if you want a basic video doorbell.

I bought this item for my mother in law for christmas who was in great need of seeing who was entering her back yard. She absolutely LOVED her Ring Doorbell after we easily set it up. I would recommend this product for anyone who needs to keep a watchful eye on their property, especially when not at home.

Caught this on sale. So I'm pleased with that and I like the bronze hardware. It's less conspicuous than the white one I have, It was pretty easy to install & so far is working as it should. I've had for a few weeks and I haven't had to recharge the battery yet. Hopefully the charge lasts a few months before having to charge,

This ring doorbell is really amazing and useful. Extremely easy to install, I didn’t use a drill or anything at all but a “box case” you can attach to the door. I didn’t need to wire it at all. I just charged the battery and it’s ready to use. The app is very easy and with lots of functionalities, including emergency ones!

Easy to install, high video quality, more battery longevity

Best purchase by far. I was a little hesitant at first because you have to change it. But the battery life is about two to three weeks with constant recording and clear view.

I actually like this thing more than I anticipated. We bought it after we had 2 back to back incidents as well as our neighbors.The doorbell does require a monthly subscription ($3 a month) and does not require to be hard wired in.The battery lasts for a while depending on uses.Besides the obvious perks of being able to keep a recording eye on on my house near or far I also like that when friends stop by while I'm out they can literally leave me a message to watch later or I have the option to talk to them live through the doorbell.
