We are happy to provide you with more information on the connection issue that you mentioned in your review of the device. The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) is compatible with b/g/n wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz frequencies. High-speed internet is recommended. If your Ring device is far from your wifi router, it may be experiencing connection issues.
Here are a few of the top reasons for poor connectivity:
Your Ring device may be too far from your WiFi router.
Your mobile device has a low signal or poor connection.
Your home wifi connection is poor (or your internet service provider is experiencing high traffic).
To learn more about your device's signal strength, follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap “Devices.”
Select the ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the “Device Health” tile.
Scroll to “Signal Strength” under the “Network” section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.
Move your wifi router off the floor.
Walls, floors, and furniture can interfere with or weaken your router's wireless signal. Choose an elevated, central, open location for your wifi router.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cannot adjust sensitivity, activates even vehicle's 150 feet drive by on lowest sensitivity level, also lens on the doorbell camera fogged up or turned white making it unusable, keeps loosing connection , sound quality terrible. This my second door bell replacement and last.

It is a valuable feature that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring doorbell or security camera to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. In order to get proper motion detection, battery-powered cameras using passive infrared motion detection, should not be placed facing a window or in front of a glass door. We like this product because it helps us see’s who’s touching our property outside of our home. We’ve been having issues where there are teens stealing our property from on our porch.

I wish there was a way to install this in to my door chime without having to take out a bank loan, but the battery operation is good. I have noticed people ring the bell and by the time I am notified they are nearly down the walkway ..would I purchase this again.. yes
