I bought this because it had a good rating, and so I decided to give it a try. Big mistake!! I was able to get the door bell up and running. But after that, forget it!! It kept saying that the bell was too far away from the router, which isn’t true. Because at one point, I actually had the bell right next to the router, and it still said the same thing. So how can that be? I called technical support twice about this issue. Their “solution” was for me to buy a chime that would extend my WiFi. Why would I do that, when the thing wouldn’t work sitting right next to the router? Another thing, the battery drains quickly. Streaming issues are constant. One problem after another. I’ve had nothing but problems with this bell. Best Buy only gives customers 14 days to return, not the standard 30 days, which is proper business practice. Now I’m at a loss and can’t return or at least exchange. You may wonder why I didn’t return earlier. It’s because the bell would act up, and I would call technical support. And they brought it back online again. It would work for a few day, almost two weeks to be exact. Then the problem would start all over again. That’s how I ended up missing the return/exchange deadline. This really isn’t fair. I would not recommend this bell. And if you want to enjoy standard business practice, whereby you can receive some recourse, then you really need to shop somewhere else. I hate to say this about Best Buy, because I have patronized their business in the past. But moving forward, I think I may have to shop where the standard business returns are practiced, honored, and upheld. A satisfied customer is a business’s greatest asset. A dissatisfied customer is business’s worst liability. So sorry that I can’t give this product a positive review, or Best Buy itself at this point. If you don’t believe me, Google this bell and see what other dissatisfied customers are saying. I wish that I had done this, instead of believing the reviews on Best Buy’s website.

Each home's unique layout will affect how far your wireless router will reach. Please bear in mind that heavy-duty materials such as brick, metal, cement and large appliances can affect a wifi signal. For optimal performance, Ring recommends a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps at the outdoor mounting location of the Ring Doorbell. We would recommend that you follow these instructions to see your wifi network's strength is outdoors: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020638172-Test-Your-Wifi-Connections. Have you also tried you reach out to Best Buy's customer service: 1-888-237-8289 or https://www.bestbuy.com/services/triage/home? We are confident that they will be able to provide you resolution to your return policy concern.

Although is staggered a few times. I ended up having to return it though because suddenly it stopped charging and when I got a new charger it took years to charge or even turn on and connect to wifi so I brought it back.

With Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), stay connected to your home from anywhere by seeing who’s at your door and answering it right from the Ring app. Enjoy enhanced features like upgraded video quality from 720p HD to 1080p HD, Near Zone motion detection in areas as close as 5 to 15-feet in front of your home and a reimagined mounting setup that simplifies installation.
