    Initially, the first two months were smooth however when it came to charge the device i learned that it may take up to 12 hours. Why? There’s has to be a better way. Overall, I am provided timely updates but waiting 12 hours its a long time to charge. I would like a system that is efficient and offers a better product on the market.

      Based on your review, it seems like you are having trouble charging your Ring Quick Release Rechargeable Battery. Your Ring Quick Release Rechargeable Battery is charged using a common micro-USB cable (an orange one is included in your Ring box). The micro-USB cable can be plugged into any USB power source, such as a computer. Your battery will take around five to 10 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet.     Generally works. Believe it looses connection with WiFi because placement outside my apartment. Otherwise, I generally believe it works and serves its purpose. Purchased other ring products that work well.

      We are pleased to read that you are enjoying the benefits of having a Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) installed! It sounds like you have some concerns with the connectivity of your device. Usually, devices falling offline repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss. In rare cases, this can be caused by settings in your router.

      We recommend checking the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

    This doorbell is decent. It gets the job done (that's the summary). The doorbell misses a lot of movement. There have been many moments where I am standing in front of the doorbell, but it doesn't give me an alert that someone is at the bell. Also, the app is very hard to work with at times, it is very confusing. The only easy thing is the setup/installation.

      After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert.       Hello Sound,

      It sounds like the Motion Frequency feature may not have been set up properly for your environment within the Ring App. Ring's Motion Frequency algorithm is an internal program that runs inside of your Ring device. It analyzes the traffic patterns of detected motions, looking for repetitive patterns. When it detects such a pattern, it essentially "sleeps" your device for a certain period of time, cutting down the number of motion alerts you'll get from the same set of stimuli. The more time a repetitive pattern of motion continues, the longer the time between issuing motion alerts.
