Just an FYI, this device talks to you while setting up. The device we returned didn't talk, the new one did start talking as soon as setup began, which is also an indication that something was definitely wrong with the first unit. After overcoming the hurdle of the first defective unit, setup was a breeze. This is our 2nd Ring doorbell and works well. Battery is built in, non removable so it's a negative to unable to have a backup charging to do a quick swap when the time comes.

The only problem I have is you cannot control the volume of these speaker that is facing outside the camera when you interacting with person at the door and it's LOUD Hoping this gets address in future updates.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to the audio from the speaker. With Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), stay connected to your home from anywhere by seeing who’s at your door and answering it right from the Ring app. Enjoy enhanced features like upgraded video quality from 720p HD to 1080p HD, Near Zone motion detection in areas as close as 5 to 15-feet in front of your home and a reimagined mounting setup that simplifies installation. To adjust the volume on the speaker, please follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡).
Tap Devices and select the doorbell or camera you'd like to adjust the volume on.
Tap the Device Settings tile.
Scroll down and tap the General Settings tab.
Tap Volume Settings and adjust the slider tab for Device Speaker according to your needs.
