You could run the battery down fast and have to recharge every few days. Extremely useful for home security. The app is also a good resource to keep up with what's happening in your own neighborhood.

I buy from them a lot, and over the last two years I've brought two entire kitchen appliances and is very happy with their service. Get their credit card and you get points and it's like money!

I will be purchasing a solar charger for it. It is inconvenient to take it down to charge.

I plan on getting 1 for my daughters apartment. (You just never know.) Don’t pass this by. “BUY IT, YOU SHOULD’NT BE DISAPPOINTED”.

We are able to adjust the sensitivity for notifications and see anyone that comes within the frame of what we set. We’re also able to see live streams of what is happening in our street as well if we wanted.

There is a newer version where you can switch out the battery. If that doesn't bother oyu, this works perfect.

To charge the battery for your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), use a common micro-USB cable, such as the orange one included in your Ring box. Simply plug it into any USB power source. Your doorbell can take around 5-10 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or a wall outlet. You can charge your doorbell by following these steps:
1. Remove the security screws on the base of the doorbell and lift the doorbell up and away from the mounting bracket.
2. Connect the orange micro-USB charger to the port on the back of the device.
3. During charging, the blue light on the front of the device will show the charge percentage.4. When the doorbell is fully charged, the light will be solid blue.
5. Reattach the Ring unit to the mounting bracket using your security screws. After about 30 seconds (time for the Ring doorbell to start up), test your Ring doorbell by pressing the button on the front.

It lets you know when someone is approaching wherever you are. Its nice because it looks great and the app shows you events your neighbors report. For example there has been an uprise of people breaking in cars and now theyll get caught if the try.
