Ring camera is the best

It's fast and reliable. Since I bought the subscription, the Ring camera alerts me, consistently, of any motion.

I hardwired it to my house, so it is always on and I do not have to worry about battery life! Great product!

In the back, you have to walk up to it for it to detect you. Im the front, it captures everything moving most of the time! Also installed at family members house and their sensor works like my back door one.

The only drawback that I had was when we were out of town we lost power and internet. The cameras went offline and never recorded for the 4 days it was offline I had to reset both cameras, Gen 1 & Gen 2, so pretty much useless when you lose power and are not at home to connect to my I phone.

Did not like having to pay subscription price to keep recordings of events. Nice to know what else is going on in neighbor hood.

The geek squad could not due. There fore I have to take it down and charge battery maybe every 2 months.

The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) is designed to be installed with existing doorbell wiring or wireless. Disconnect power to the installation area at your circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation. Always use caution when handling electrical wiring. Installation by a qualified electrician may be required in your area. Refer to your local laws and building codes before performing electrical work; permits and/or professional installation may be required by law.
