Do not buy if you live on a buy street

Connecting & setting up was easy. I guess the battery life is ok. I’ve charged it once since buying. Unfortunately for me, it loses connection with WiFi very easily which could be the fact I am on the second fl, and it place at the 1st fl where my main door is. You have to subscribe to receive any recording features. If you leave on a busy street, DO NOT waste the money as it will pick up everything even after setting perimeters which leads to constant notifications.had to turn off that feature because it drove us crazy no matter what setting I used. So basically, it just a WiFi door bell with a camera I can view on but not record a thing unless you subscribe to service which isn’t worth it if it picks up everything unnecessary.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Night vision is okay with other motion activated lights. Without any help, this camera probably won't see much more than outlines of people and cars. Hopefully the presence of this camera will deter thieves.

I like that I can see when someone is at my door while I'm at work. I also use to see what is going on in the neighborhood and my yard as we are patiently waiting for our grass to be installed. It is everything I hoped it would be and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a video doorbell.

I am able to see whomever is at my door. The only issue I had was the wifi-I have 5 ghz and had to split it up to 2.4-my son did this so I hope I am explaining this correctly. I also am able to get posts from neighbors who have the ring-and alert us to any suspicious activity.

Ring app works great and cheap monthly fee for 24hr camera access from anywhere.

They do give you everything you need to install, but before purchasing you may want to check out the pro version to see if the slimmer design of the pro maybe better for you install.

We have been hearing about the good things that have happened in homes where this device is installed and you can never be too careful! We see who comes by the door and we can talk without having to get near the door especially if no one is home! I seriously recommend this!

It picks up everything and notifies us promptly. The app also offers a variety of options to choose from on how we would like our ring set up.

Had geek squad install, note that if you have steps or a porch, you'll need a wedge which is a $20 piece of plastic. Recommend the Chime Pro to go along with it - will extend the wifi and alert you if someone rings the bell. Excellent to let you know when someone is at your door and just general "eyes on" security.
