I had the original 720p model when it released and it served us well for years. I also prefer this to the higher end ring doorbells due to the built in battery which they omit.

Our neighbor hardwired it directly to our doorbell so it always receives power for us. The installation process and setting up an account was quick. For $100 I think it was well worth it to be able to see what is going on outside in front of our home.

It doesn’t have a quick release battery that you can take out and exchange for a another, however this thing still has all the same features at the newer more expensive models and it’s a good buy.

Got it home and yes I didn’t realize I needed a chime also but we installed, purchased the chime and everything works perfect. This is a great Buy you learn so much from the areas surrounding you including yours and the picture quality is phenomenal....
