The batteries have much longer charges than I'd have thought and charge pretty fast. If you hardwire into your 24v doorbell wires etc, moot point. Otherwise I haven't really have any issues. I wish the user profile settings were better and not all or none, and you can't set up a secondary user with access to all of the main functions. I worked around this by just using my login on my partner's phone too.

Video quality, and notifications when motion detected is excellent. However, be aware that after 30 days, monthly subscription is REQUIRED to continue receiving real-time notifications. This should be more apparent in product description and packaging.

At Ring, we believe it is imperative that our customers receive all pertinent information regarding additional benefits they have the option to subscribe to, such as the Ring Protect Plan. Having this information allows someone to make the best purchasing decision for their needs. We provide information to our customers about the optional Ring Protect Plan on our Ring website, your Ring app will also notify you during the free 30-day trial of our cloud plan, as well as in an email after a successful setup of a Ring device.
A Ring Protect Plan is required in order to replay video footage for each device on your account. Ring Protect Basic activates video recording for one device per location and is $3.99 per month or $39.99 per year, per device. There is also another option, Ring Protect Plus activates video recording for all devices at your location and is $10 per month or $100 per year. The Plus plan also includes extended warranties for all devices. I recently moved to a new neighborhood and I wanted to make sure my packages would be safe. It was easy to install and picks up to the street!!!! Then to top it off I purchased my ring but then it was reduce (on sale) Best Buy refunded my difference without question! NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Older version wasn’t that loud so really could not hear. But the solar panel for it makes life easy when you apply it to the ring camera.

The picture and sound quality is amazing!! Love having my eyes at home even when we are not there - I also love the record feature!! Great product overall

I was a little skeptical with it having a non removable battery but the battery last a long time. It works just as good as my ring doorbell 4th generation.
