Product is very easy to self install. Just watch the video and it takes just a few minutes. My previous model went out on me and was able to find this great upgraded replacement.

Replaced a Cove brand doorbell with Ring. Easy to install and I believe it has better camera quality. Paired it with a Ring Chime inside and customized the ring tone to our liking. Love it!

Sometimes instead of playing the chime sound it just emits a static crackling noise. Next time, though, it will play normal so it’s not a blown speaker. Have adjusted sensitivity settings to motion, yet it misses motion at times. The built-in app always says it’s updating itself when you try to change tones, and the tones won’t stick or stay applied. Have tried for weeks, so I’m stuck using one default chime. I will say that the battery lasts forever, literally for weeks at a time. Still deciding on wether to keep or try different brand. Also, the app is supposed to save all your video recordings free for the first 30 days but upon going back it deletes certain snippets at random and for no reason so I have no way to reference those clips. I work in phones and computers, so I thought my electronic knowledge would make this a very simple, streamlined process but I seem to have a few gripes that aren’t related to user error. 3 out of 5.

Doorbell is awesome. Display is very clear. It does lag a little but not like other models do. If you have a tall house that's old you'll wanna invest in the chime pro so it stays connected. Other then that wonderful product.

I love the clear video. I love how you can change the video settings to your liking. This came in handy when I needed it.

This product was easy to install and works well. We installed it wired because our old doorbell was wired. But it isn't easy to reset because the reset button is on the back and the screws have to be removed each time to get to the orange button.

Reliable performance - Ring app notifies when motion is detected by the camera. Good view of close objects and reasonable of those further away.

I think this is the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I spend a lot of time playing with it to learn more features which is addictive. Too many warnings about using the wrong screws because the screws to secure the battery are tiny and if you drop them you’re screwed. Night vision is really nice. I’ve already connected my camera to Alexa who now informs me when someone is at the door. I waited for a sale and the price was great. Next sale, more cameras. $10/month for six months video no matter how many cameras.
