This gives me a sense of security to decide if I want to answer my door or to see if it is a package delivery. The price was affordable too.

Very easy to install, just follow the instructions on the app and had the unit up and running in 10 minutes. Slight issue connecting to Wi-Fi however problem was rectified as we switched from 5G to regular Wi-Fi.

alerts slow & but alerts on trees

It will alert multiple times when a car drives by or the wind blows tree that there is movement, I get WAY too many of them a day. It is okay to have if using as doorbell & not near a street, tree and only used if someone walks up.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Great Video Doorbell Overall

The first time using video doorbell and I feel much safer with the ability to monitor the front of my home. We also bought the entire ring home monitoring system. Ring is a great product with good customer support.

Its motion detection alarm prompts me to pick up deliveries immediately upon receipt, thereby eliminating package thief. And the video recording would archive what happened if I am not at home. No regret except that I should have it installed much sooner.

Can’t beat the Ring look and feel! Great product

Comparing this to the Google Nest devices and these are clearly the better value.

Picture quality is pretty good as well as the distance it records. Keep in mind for the doorbell camera you will need to purchase a chime so you can actually hear when someone rings the doorbell
