Safety is main reason to have, but we have throughly enjoyed startling our family members, too!! I am grateful my husband is a carpenter/contractor, as there was some accommodating to secure properly on our door frame. And, needed our daughter and son to help with set up...was a bit tedious for us....I am not tech comfortable at all and husband just annoyed with process....we had to call for tech assistance, but was helped and all in past now! Love our RING!

I will be purchasing another ring doorbell to put on the side of my house. The battery lasts super long. Definitely 5 stars.

Went with this one because I didn't see the reason to spend double the price when this one does everything I need it to do. And it does it well. Video quality, build quality etc.
