The Ring itself does not have a built-in memory. They will not tell you this, nor warn you about it. They bank on the consumer to miss this very important detail. I wish they labeled “needs subscription” on packaging.

Most of the time it is inoperable whether I am on cell or high speed wifi. It says wait while loading. By the time it loads, the person has already left. The Best Buy Rep said that the Ring membership was included for a year while it was only 30 days. I want to return it for a refund.

My videos are glitchy showing black and white I bought it September it’s January I don’t think I got warranty but it shouldn’t have went bad that quick.

I like the ring doorbell but this model you have to charge more often than the ring doorbell 3 where the battery is detachable. I got the echo show for only $10 more.

Easy to follow installation instructions, quick set up with the mobile app, neat preset sayings for door to door salesman. Recognizes movement vs person. Video quality is very good. Happy with the hardwired version so I don’t have to worry about charging a battery. Works out of the box with my existing doorbell chime

It was on sale and a great bargain. The video quality is great (day or night). The sound quality is ok. The motion detection is great. The ring app is a plus as well. The only thing is with this one - the battery is embedded so you remove the whole doorbell to go and charge it with the cord provided. The battery life is a thumbs up and you can adjust the sensitivity of your motion for greater battery life if necessary. Almost forgot to add... love that the drill bit, screwdriver are included, with step by step direction to configure and install it yourself.

Best purchase I have made in awhile. The ring doorbell was such a good deal. This purchase is something that has lasted so long, and I know will continue to. We have had it for over a year and a half, and have had no problems. I love being able to see if someone I know is at my door or if it's a solicitor. The quality and sound are perfect, and the night vision is amazing. We have seen some pretty cool night critters with it, which we never would have known about before having the ring! Battery life lasts forever too.

Upgraded my Ring doorbell from the 1st generation to this one. There is more improvements needed due to the video color tone on this camera. It claims 1080p but it is no comparison to my Ring floodlight cam which is also 1080p. Video movement seems a little blurry when walking by the camera. On the other hand, night video is much improved compared to the 1st generation. Also, video during strong sunlight is not washed out anymore like the 1st gen. Installation is pretty straight forward unless your doorbell wires are too short! I had to extend my wires due to the different mounting design. 1st gen had wires going to the mounting bracket so very little wires are needed. This one needs more wire because it is mounted to the camera itself. Mounting holes is the same as 1st gen so this is a plus! I don’t recommend this if you plan to charge this device. You would need to remove the camera and have no security for a few hours during charging. At this price point though, it is still a good investment. I paid twice the amount for my 1st gen! Don’t forget $30 a yr Ring subscription.

The Ring camera system has to be one of the best ideas I've seen so far. There's nothing that I didn't like about this home security system. There are so many options to choose from and it can be customized In so many ways to fit your needs. You can add on motion sensors, video cameras, motion detectors, door and window sensors and more. There's no reason why you can't cover every inch of your home with the endless possibilities from Ring. The system comes ready to go right out the box and is easily set up. You choose what you want to cover. From just a front door to every square inch of your space as you can add and expand your ring security system for whatever your need. I love features of the system. The video and picture quality are exceptional and the night vision quality was way better than I expected given the great price of the system and components. Even better still is the ability to purchase and expand your system as you go along, and adding more components is about as easy as it can get, as it only takes just a few minutes to add and set up and customize each part to your liking. I could go on for a few hours telling about the system but I think you get the idea. This is perfect for any type of home, apartment or dwelling as long as you have a Wi-Fi signal. And the price definitely makes it affordable for everyone. I would give the ring security system three thumbs up if I had an extra thumb, But two will do.

I bought the Ring Video Doorbell 4 to replace my old doorbell and I’m very happy with it. It was easy to install and set up, and it works well with my existing Echo devices. I like that it has a quick-release battery that I can recharge without taking off the whole device. The video quality is good, and the color Pre-Roll feature is very useful. It shows me a few seconds of what happened before the motion alert, so I can see who or what triggered it. The two-way talk and Quick Replies are also handy when I’m busy or away from home. I can choose from preset responses or ask visitors to leave a message. The Ring app is user-friendly and lets me customize the motion zones and privacy settings. I also subscribed to the Ring Protect plan, which gives me access to cloud storage, person and package detection, and more benefits. The only downside is that it doesn’t work with my existing doorbell chime, so I had to buy a separate plug-in chime. But overall, I think this is a great video doorbell that offers convenience and peace of mind. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless or hardwired option with enhanced features.

I’m very pleased with this doorbell, camera. It works well I’m with motion detection, great camera with wide angle lens and was easy to install. Took me 40 minutes including screwing in the bell and setting all up including connecting with the echo dot. So far it works well and haven’t had to recharge battery yet after 2 weeks

I love this doorbell! I purchased an off brand one prior to this and it was unreliable and a waste of money. The picture and video quality of this device is perfect and very easy to use. Set up is easy, took about 10 minutes to install and hook up. I would highly recommend. Makes it easy to keep an eye on your house for an affordable price.

It does what I expected. You get 30 days of free Ring service, which you are going to want to subscribe to for video storage and remote control ability. You can use your Alexa devices to control, answer, and hear doorbell playback. It works great with that service and is easy to set up. Installation is a breeze. It's well documented but you may find yourself viewing the installation process on their site. It's straight forward but to get it integrated with your wired doorbell system, you will want to review the online support section so you don't damage your device. It works in snow storms, and in the direct summer heat, and you can adjust your motion settings in the app more than you think. Mounting is a breeze and simple with everything you need. Would recommend

Super easy setup clean sleek design still trying to figure out the app but that's just me. Shows great quality love the feeling of the safety has a really good battery life and I do like the option that I can actually just take it off come in charge it or I can buy an accessory for an extended battery life. Overall really good buy would recommend makes me feel safer and it's nice to know that in the app you can actually see what's going on around in your area as well with people reporting if there's thefts or anything like that.

I got the silver Ring camera and I love how it looks—clean, modern, and not too bulky. It was super easy to set up (just plug it in and go), and the video quality is great. I've had a Ring video doorbell on my list for a long time, but I finally bought one and set it up. Overall, this is a very easy to set up smart home device that is an excellent value for the price. The Venetian bronze finish looks great and is a nice alternative to simple white and black doorbell offerings. The trickiest part of the Ring doorbell for me was fitting it on my door frame because it's quite a bit wider and taller than a traditional doorbell. After that small obstacle, the rest of the set up and operation was and has been a breeze. The app works well and has great features to record anyone who walks up to the front of my house and cool intercom capabilities. I also added a Ring Chime which had a similarly easy setup process. I'm excited to extend my Ring system even more with additional cameras and other smart home devices.

I love this doorbell camera. The quality is 10/10, the motion detection and alerts are on point. You can even custom set the range the motion detection detects something. The battery is life is great as well. You can purchase a separate solar charger which i intend on purchasing. Overall this item was well worth the money, it gives you peace of mind especially since i work overnights.Get yours today! You wont regret it.
