I would recommend hard wiring it to your original doorbell so you won’t have to charge it. My ring lasted about a month on a full charge, but there is a an adapter that you could connect it to a solar panel, so I’ll be purchasing that later on in Amazon.

We would love to provide you with information that will assist you in finding the best setup for your home’s environment.
It sounds like you are enjoying the features of the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), but there is some concern with the battery life. Batteries in Ring devices are designed to last for months between charges, but there are factors that could be causing an unexpected battery drain.
The weather can impact battery life. At temperatures below 40°F, lithium polymer batteries are less effective at holding a charge. When the temperature drops below 40°F, it may be necessary to charge your Ring product more often. Battery performance will return to normal once the weather warms up and remains above freezing.
Lots of activity can impact battery life. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events per day, you will likely need to recharge your battery sooner. Using Live View often can also drain your battery faster. To prevent excessive activity notifications, adjust your Motion Settings to a lower sensitivity, disable certain zones, change Motion Frequency to Regularly or Periodically, or adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.

How lift of the mount

It was difficult to remove the doorbell from the mount. The instructions don't say that the doorbell has a magnet and that secures it to the mount. Put thumb and index finger on the sides and lift up.

I was able to adjust the range to avoid getting notifications every time a car passed. It did alert me when someone is within 15 feet of the house and it evens tells me that it is a person as opposed to other motion.
