I think because it doesn’t have the dual band wifi like the higher models. I would go with 1 model up. Never had problem with the ring Pro model Other then that it’s great product.

The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection.
After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell 2020 is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait for your internet to be restored.

I expect the same timeframe benefit on using the snapshot capture but it's rather disappointing.

Ring gives customers a complimentary 30-day trial with each new Ring device. After the 30-days, you can choose if you would like to purchase a Ring Protect Plan or not. A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan, you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. It is worst. In the past at least we had the choice to select if we wanted to pay extra to keep the recording fir a longer period of time. Now, you are forced to pay extra if you want to access a recording that just happened a minute ago. And if you refuse to pay, you often take too long to open the app and see the activity. A Swan app with 4 cameras has a better connection and faster view to the activities. I was too late to noticed since you have to pay after 30 days and I only had 15 days to return or exchange. I hope this helps not getting someone surprised. Just be aware!
