Battery is pretty good

The camera is slightly tilted to the left for the camera. I know I can purchase a wedge, but at the time, I needed it operational. Maybe purchase a wedge and then return it if you don't need it.

If you're installing your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) on a house with aluminum siding or on a house where the door is at the top of a set of stairs, you can use a Wedge Kit to properly position the device. This will help catch visitor motion, but minimize "false positive" motion alerts, such as cars on the street. If your house has siding, you'll need to take the angle of the siding into account when mounting your Ring Video Doorbell. Mounting the Ring Video Doorbell on siding will point the Ring Video Doorbell up, making it more likely to catch passing traffic than the heat of visitors. If you mount your Ring Video Doorbell on siding, a Wedge Kit will properly angle your Ring Doorbell. If your door is above ground level with stairs leading up to it, this can cause your Ring Video Doorbell to miss visitors walking up your stairs. It can also cause you to get motion alerts from passing traffic. The solution in this case is to use a Wedge Kit to lower the angle of your Ring Video Doorbell. A Corner Kit is an optional accessory used to angle your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) 15 degrees left or right away from the wall. If you are installing your Video Doorbell on a corner or adjacent wall, a Ring Corner Kit can improve motion detection and view. You can also use it to angle your doorbell away from a wall or window to keep your view free of light reflections when it’s dark.

But we had an a few days ago where our car got broken into and the camera didn’t detect it or capture the theft so we are pretty disappointed. Our cars are right in front of the camera and somehow none of it got detected or recorded

Your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."
