It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is designed to be mounted using screws rather than adhesive. To properly secure your doorbell, you'll need to mount it to the wall or a mounting bracket using the included mounting screws. First, turn off power at your circuit breaker before installation. Mark the mounting holes on your wall through the slots on the mounting bracket. For masonry surfaces like concrete, brick, or stucco, drill holes using a 6mm masonry bit and insert the included wall anchors. For wood or siding, you can skip the anchors. Feed any excess wiring back into the wall, then secure the doorbell directly to the wall using the included mounting screws from bag A. If using a Corner or Wedge Kit, secure the doorbell to the mount using the short screws provided with that kit. After mounting, reattach the faceplate and use the included screwdriver to insert and tighten one of the security screws. Finally, restore power at the breaker. The doorbell should light up when it's ready to use.

My only gripe is that it doesn’t work with your existing door chime. Works directly with Alexa to announce motion in front of the doorbell. Definitely had to tune it as the days went on but super happy for it with the price. Video quality is distorted sometimes when I review it but clear when live.

I had to upgrade the transformer to a 24v 40VA to ensure they had sufficient power. Needless to say, it worked perfectly and integrates extremely well with the Echo Show. The only drawback is that I needed to get an extra chime because there is a limitation with having one chime with 2 Ring doorbells. Having only one chime means both doorbells will have the same ring tone. The app does not let you choose a different one for each Ring Doorbell.

For what I paid, this doorbell looks a lot better than the one I had and it was really easy to self-install (took less than an hour) - and I’m not handy at all! Reason I’m giving it 4-stars is that the motion detection is really sensitive and notifies me any time someone walks on the sidewalk by my house. If my front patio was a little further back, it might not be a problem - but it is kind of annoying.

Sound quality is clear. Slight delay alerting when person is within designated area but overall this Ring doorbell satisfies my needs and provides alerts when someone or something is near or on my property. The installation was a bit challenging, but I'm not a tech person so it depends on your technological ability. With patience, everything is working well and is even linked to my Amazon products. I'm quite pleased with my purchase.

The Night Vision feature is an invaluable feature of the Ring Video Doorbell Wired that allows you to clearly view what’s happening on your property after dark. We can definitely assist you with this today, and we are confident we can find the correct settings for your home’s environment.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to "Night Vision." To ensure that the "Night Vision" feature works as intended, make sure your Cam’s infrared light is toggled on in the Ring app. The infrared light control is in your Ring app under Video Settings. Enable "Color Night Vision" in the Ring app to help improve clarity at night.
To turn the "Color Night Vision" on or off, follow these instructions:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the "Menu" (☰).
Tap "Devices."
Select the device you want to adjust.
Tap "Device Settings."
Tap "Video Settings."
Toggle "Color Night Vision" on or off.
Although rare, there have been instances where a Ring device can experience black, pink, and other distorted video quality, like night vision video captured during daytime hours. Here are a few things to try.
Check your Ring device's signal strength.
If your Ring device is far from your wifi router, it may be experiencing connection or video issues.
Open the Ring app.
Tap the "Menu" (☰).
Tap "Devices."
Select the Ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the "Device Health" tile.
Scroll to "Signal Strength" under the "Network" section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.
Reboot your Ring Video Doorbell Wired in the Ring app.
Open the Ring app.
Tap the "Menu" (☰).
Tap "Devices."
Select the device that you wish to reboot.
Tap on the "Device Health" tile.
Scroll down to "Reboot This Device."
Give your device a few moments to start back up.

Eliminates having to remove to recharge a battery. Cam produces clear video and audio. Of course, the Con is with a power failure, otherwise, perfect. App is very good.
