And it’s not my wifi cause my WiFi works fine. No point of having it when half the time it goes offline. I gave it 3 stars cause when it does work it works fine I guess. I can speak to whoever is at the door but I can’t understand what they are saying back! It breaks up way to much. Now I know why this was on sale.

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is Ring's smallest, most affordable doorbell. The Video Doorbell Wired offers 1080p HD video with night vision and two-way audio with noise cancellation. Based on your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell Wired is disconnecting from your home wifi. If your device is not working as intended, we recommend resetting your device. To reset your Ring Video Doorbell, press and hold the setup button for 10-15 seconds and release. Once the white light on the front of the device stops spinning, proceed with the setup process. It sounds like the device is not operating as intended. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. Identify and troubleshoot what is causing connectivity issues for Ring devices to give you the best possible video and audio experience.
To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

While having some health issues, it is very helpful to address visitors without having to get up and answer the door. And then there is the comfort of avoiding persons that may want to be avoided.

You need to buy the more expensive model to do this. Apparently a small box in the other model gets attached to your chime. The verbiage for this model should say that!

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is a wired-only doorbell and connects to your existing doorbell wiring for non-stop power. During the installation of this doorbell, you will be instructed to bypass the existing doorbell chime in your home. This means that after installation, your home doorbell system will not sound when the device’s button is pressed. If you wish to hear audio alerts in your home, you can pair your Video Doorbell Wired with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device.
