The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires existing doorbell wiring for its power supply, but it does not sound your existing doorbell chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair it with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device (each sold separately).

It is a valuable feature that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
Based on your review it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell Wired picking up correct motion. The Ring Doorbell sees the world is through a network of PIR or "Passive Infrared" motion sensors. These are heat sensors that detect motion by monitoring heat within the detection area. Since people are hotter than the surrounding areas, as a person enters the detection area the heat measurements change. The motion sensors register this change as movement and send out an alert. If this is the case, we recommend you to adjust your current set motion zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Thank you for detailing your installation experience with our new Ring Video Doorbell - Wired. We understand the importance of easily completing your installation to enjoy your device. This doorbell comes with everything you need to mount it to your door. The process should only take a few moments. Rest assured, we are here to help.

The cover to your original doorbell button will have its own dimensions. One shouldn't need to line up the holes on Ring Doorbell Wired to the existing holes. Rather, screw the doorbell directly into the wall.

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is our most affordable doorbell yet. It is a wired only doorbell and requires you to bypass the existing doorbell chime in your home. This means that after installation, your home doorbell system will not sound when the device’s button is pressed. If you wish to hear audio alerts in your home, you can pair your Video Doorbell Wired with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device. This new doorbell is compatible with a 2.4 GHz network (Channels 11-13) 802.11 b/g/n.

If you're having trouble seeing a Live View, or a recorded video, that means there's a problem in the data transfer between your Ring device and the Ring app. As a result, your Ring app is unable to show you a Live View or display a video recording from your Ring camera(s). You might see a message that says "Activating Device", but the camera eventually times out. Thank you for leaving a review. We understand how important it is to have your internal chime working properly, as it is used to notify you when someone is at the door. Rest assured that we are here to ensure that we can find a resolution for you today.

The Ring Doorbell Wired uses an included jumper cable to bypass your home’s internal chime kit, so it will not ring inside. If you’d like audio notifications inside your home, you’ll need to purchase a Ring Chime to hear them.
All of Ring’s other battery and hardwired doorbell models (Ring Doorbell Pro, Ring Doorbell Pro 2, Ring Doorbell (2020 Release), Ring Doorbell 3/3+, and Ring Doorbell 4) will work with in home chime kits and AC current doorbell transformers. The Ring Chime (2nd Generation) is an updated version of the classic Ring Chime. In addition to a stylish new design, Ring Chime's 2.4 GHz wifi connectivity will help you get notification for any and all of your Ring devices. Based on your review, it seems that you are not able to change the alert tone of the Ring Chime. To change the alert tone, select your Ring Chime under the device tab on the Ring App. You have the option to change and customize Chime tones for Alerts and Notifications. From there, you can select audio settings and adjust the volume on your Ring Chime.
The Chime tones available are:
