Quality is better than the dedicated security cameras I own. Microphone is extremely sensitive. I can hear my neighbors talk across the street!

It is life changing in that we no longer have to wonder who is at the front door. We can easily see who is ringing. Additionally, it gives a chime if a person comes within range. That tells us if the Amazon person has stopped by. It is in the same category as call tracing and the telephone answering machine. Money well spent.

We are happy to provide you with more information regarding the delay concern that you mentioned in your review.
Notification delays are often related to wifi connection or mobile device variables. A delay of under six seconds is expected due to signal fluctuation. To learn more about your device's signal strength, follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the Ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the Device Health tile.
Scroll to Signal Strength under the Network section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.
The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires existing doorbell wiring for its power supply, but it does not sound your existing doorbell chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair it with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device (each sold separately). The Ring Chime (2nd Generation) is an updated version of the classic Ring Chime. Simply plug it in to a power outlet, set it up in the Ring app, and you'll be able to hear alerts from your Ring devices at home.
