Better adhesive

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is designed to be mounted using screws rather than adhesive. To properly secure your doorbell, you'll need to mount it to the wall or a mounting bracket using the included mounting screws. First, turn off power at your circuit breaker before installation. Mark the mounting holes on your wall through the slots on the mounting bracket. For masonry surfaces like concrete, brick, or stucco, drill holes using a 6mm masonry bit and insert the included wall anchors. For wood or siding, you can skip the anchors. Feed any excess wiring back into the wall, then secure the doorbell directly to the wall using the included mounting screws from bag A. If using a Corner or Wedge Kit, secure the doorbell to the mount using the short screws provided with that kit. After mounting, reattach the faceplate and use the included screwdriver to insert and tighten one of the security screws. Finally, restore power at the breaker. The doorbell should light up when it's ready to use.

I can always see who’s at the door from wherever I’m at. Feel extra safe at home having this. Just one thing to note, since it’s not wired, I have to take it out once a month to recharge it, and it takes quite a while to get it to 100%. But I still love it and recommend it.

This one does not ring your old-school indoor chime so you must depend on your phone or possibly buy another chime. 2. You need a subscription for it to alert on your Echo Show devices.

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires existing doorbell wiring for its power supply, but it does not sound your existing doorbell chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair it with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device (each sold separately).
As for Echo Show notifications, a Ring subscription is not required to receive alerts on your Echo Show devices. Basic doorbell press and motion notifications are available without a subscription through the Alexa app. Simply enable the Ring Skill in your Alexa app and your Echo Show will automatically display the live view when someone is at the door.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. If you're installing a Video Doorbell on a house where the door is at the top of a set of stairs, you can use a Ring Wedge Kit to properly position the device. If your door is above ground level with stairs leading up to it, this can cause your Ring Video Doorbell to miss visitors walking up your stairs. It can also cause you to get motion alerts from passing traffic.

Good but not great

Quality is very good and sound works amazing. Only issues are that is doesn’t have s chime built in so had to buy that separately. Also 4 months in, it would not connect. Kept saying camera is offline. Best Buy came and couldn’t fix the issue so issued me an exchange and installed a new ring. Overall I would recommend.

I opted for this Wired version, which was a breeze to set up! I have no electrician experience, but a little common sense goes a long way! Disconnect the power to your current doorbell, remove, and replace with your Ring Doorbell - just match the colored wires up!
