Worked fine but limited features without a subscription. After I installed a Ring security system, I decided to replace the Nest with a Ring doorbell since I already was paying for the subscription. This gives me many more features including the ability to go back in time. Works great. Only issue is that retrieving historic video is clumsy.

Not worth it

Still on the fence on buying one, but I still don't understand why I needed the jumper since it does nothing....and of course there's the monthly subscription...still trying to find a hack where I can use my PC HD for recording...

Posted .Hi Manny1975. Being notified when someone is at your door is a key feature of your Ring Doorbell. While the Video Doorbell Wired will not ring your internal chime kit, it will still send an alert to your smartphone when someone rings the Doorbell. Additionally, you can use a Ring Chime or a compatible Amazon Alexa device to receive audible alerts in your home.
