You will need to buy the wireless plug-in chimes in order to get notified that someone rings your doorbell.

With Advanced Motion Detection and customizable motion zones, Ring Video Doorbell Wired makes it easy to tailor the settings for your specific needs, detecting motion in specific areas and sending an alert as soon as a visitor approaches the door. Rest assured, we are here to provide you with information regarding this device not ringing your home's internal chime kit.
The Jumper Cable bypasses and disables your existing doorbell chime and must be installed before you install your Ring Doorbell Wired. In order to hear an internal chime with Ring Doorbell Wired, you need either a Ring Chime or Ring Chime Pro.
